Many people think of self-love as being narcissist--only if you abuse the meaning. In reality, self-love talks about the act of validating your happiness and well-being. It is a way of having a caring and compassion for yourself.

It can also mean that you can have personal needs met allowing thinking that is non-judgmental and viewing yourself as worthy, good, valuable and deserving of happiness. This is pivotal in having a high self-esteem.
